They preserved the traditions of Basilicata, this wonderful region of Italy that is little known. You see something undisturbed and that’s really the reason I hope many people come to visit Basilicata, they will have a chance to see Italy undisturbed, the way it really was.

General information
Basilicata is little region in Southern Italy. Its surface is mainly covered by mountains and hills. Its coastline is literally breath-taking and Maratea is a jem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It was already famous thanks to its archeological sites, to Roman and medioeval cities, but since Matera was nominated Capital of Culture 2019 tourism in the region has increased considerably. Although a little region, Basilicata boasts two places that UNESCO declared Patrimony of Humanity, i.e. Matera, a city completely built out of rock, and the Pollino Park. Fairy-tale castles and charming ancient villages complete the beautiful landscape, so a stop here for a few days is a must! The climate is influenced by the presence of two seas but, when you move inland, temperatures are pleasant during the summer and very cold in winter.
