Organizing sustainable events and experiences: a new way for educating people to respect the Planet
Organizing an event, be it a wedding, a company convention or a simple birthday party, has always been an activity that requires considerable planning skills, precision and attention to detail. Nothing must be left to chance: for the success of the event it is necessary to foresee and plan every detail.
But, in a moment of climate emergency such as the one we are experiencing now, the key element that has become FUNDAMENTAL during the organization of an event is the ability to calculate, and therefore minimize, the impact that the event itself will have on the surrounding environment. From the identification of suppliers and the location to waste management, passing through the definition of the menu and the quantities of food to be prepared, everything must be done thinking about the ecological footprint that each choice has compared to another. Planning a sustainable event therefore requires a particular ecological sensitivity and social attention.
Erika Barani, Sustainability Consultant and organizer of sustainable events, founder of VegON.net, Caterina Lostia and Cristina Roasenda of Caterina Lostia Wedding & Event Producer, Danilo Boni, Sustainable Events Advisor specialized in the organization of sporting events, Nicola Dal Bo, Oenologist of Naturalmind Wine, Alberto Crescini and Mario di Martino, founders of inNaturale.com will discuss about these issues in the beautiful natural setting of the Boutique Hotel Villa dei Campi in Gavardo (Brescia), near the Garda Lake.
The event is part of the Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile organized by Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS).
